The Atlanta Falcons will have a new home soon enough. Owner Arthur Blank and Atlanta mayor Kasim Reed hosted a Madden 23 Coins press conference to announce the plans to build a brand new arena for the club. The two officials and council members from Atlanta City Council met at City Hall at 2:30 p.m. ET to announce the announcement.

The new stadium is expected to cost of $1 billion with $800 million coming from the Falcons and Madden NFL 23. The public will be responsible for the remainder of $200 million through bonds financed via the city's hotel and motel tax. The Falcons plan to have the new stadium, situated within the heart of the city, before in the 2017 Madden NFL 23 season.

Alongside the stadium agreement as well, there is also the Arthur Blank Family Foundation and the city each plan to give $15 million to the development of the surrounding neighborhoods together, for a total of $30 million. The $15 million from the city will come from the city tax allocation district funds, and the city will also look for an additional $15 million from private sector investment.

The terms of the agreement include an equal opportunity policy that will require that businesses be run by women and minorities when designing and building of the new stadium.

The deal needs to be approved by the Atlanta City Council, Georgia World Congress Center Authority, and Invest Atlanta, the city's economic development agency.
