The last three bosses in the Sepulcher of the First Ones raid were unlocked earlier in the day. As WoTLK Gold with most raids final battles of the game's most recent mission were locked to players for another week and weren't tested on the game's testing world. The players went into the experience with no idea about what was expected that led to endless speculation regarding the Jailer's plans and what the ending of the raid could suggest for future expansions and much more. The final answer appears to have the majority of players willing to put Shadowlands behind them. Below are spoilers.

In the film that plays in the final moments of the raid The Jailer, also known as Zovaal, lies in a state of defeat. On his knees, he recalls the events that led to his deportation, including a memory of when the Primus asked what led Zovaal's betrayal of the Shadowlands and to attempt to alter the process to the next life. His response?

"A universe that is split will not survive what is to come," Zovaal says defiantly. He then fades away in the moment, and is being replaced by a mechanical husk of his former self. The doorway to the Shadowlands over Icecrown Citadel closes. Cinematic end.

If the players wanted an idea of the direction the future expansion (set to release on April 19) will take them, this cinematic disappointment isn't it. Also, it brings an unsatisfactory end to one of the most hated villains and expansion generally.

Zovaal is long been created as the ultimate villain The character has long been seen as the ultimate bad guy, with Blizzard creating the character to be the true mastermind behind huge swathes of World of Warcraft lore, including Arthas becoming the Lich King to the creation of the destruction of the planet by the Burning Legion. Players have long wondered what the character's real motives were as a result. To let Zovaal's massive-bad 4D-chess plot be solely intended to set up a previously unheard of villain who is lurking behind the scenes (a position that the Jailer was in for multiple expansions) feels like an injustice to cheap WoTLK Gold the character who could have theoretically been an intriguing villain.
