"We're developing our story" Raimi said in June. "We have a 40-page report that requires a lot of work...we're discovering the characters WoTLK Gold, and through the characters, we're uncovering the story...we're trying to make realistic characters that could exist in The World of Warcraft, as like you're in the game within the game."

The film was announced in October of 2009. Raimi announced the fact that Saving Private Ryan and The Patriot screenwriter Robert Rodat was on board for the project. It is reported that the Internet Movie Database is listing the film to be released in 2012, however there is no official date announced through Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures which are the two companies that distribute as well as producing the movie.

Raimi is the director of the multibillion-dollar-grossing Spider-Man films and the horror cult classics Evil Dead and Army of Darkness. His most recent project was Drag Me to Hell, which was a horror film that earned high praise from critics despite the PG-13 rating and mediocre box-office results. This World of Warcraft film will be created by Atlas Entertainment's Charles "Chuck" Roven. Legendary Pictures' Thomas Tull and Raimi co-producer Joshua Donen. Blizzard Entertainment's senior vice president for creative and development Chris Metzen will coproduce.

It's no surprise that World of Warcraft earned more revenues that any other paid-for MMO worldwide during 2013 according to a brand new buy WoTLK Classic Gold report by SuperData Research. The biggest surprise is it was Star Wars: The Old Republic was ranked as number four on the list.
